नीलाञ्जनसमाभासं रविपुत्रं यमाग्रजम्। छायामार्तण्डसम्भूतं तं नमामि शनैश्चरम्

nīlāñjanasamābhāsaṃ raviputraṃ yamāgrajam. chāyāmārtaṇḍasambhūtaṃ taṃ namāmi śanaiścaram

I bow to Shanaishchara, dark as collyrium, son of the Sun, elder brother of Yama, born of Chhaya and Martanda.

A Shani stuti used daily during the seven-and-a-half-year Saturn transit over the natal Moon. Best at sunset.

Daily during Sade Sati (the seven-and-a-half year Saturn transit over the natal Moon and its neighbours). Best on Saturday at sunset, or any sunset of the week.
