An answer from Acharya

You asked

What is this chapter of my life asking of me?

Acharya

Saturn runs your current Mahadasha and you are inside the Saturn-Mercury Antardasha until November 2027. Both lords touch the 10th house in your chart, so the chapter is about building a body of work that holds up, not chasing the next title.

Your Saturn sits exalted in Libra. Brihat Parashara reads this as patient work that rewards seriously and late. Friends who took faster routes already moved on. Your output lands when it is ready, not when you wished it would.

One thing for this year: write down what you are building, in one paragraph, and read it once a week. Saturn in the 10th likes a stated north star on paper.

This chapter is asking you to commit to one piece of work and stay with it until it cannot be ignored.

How Acharya actually answers

Four real-shaped questions. Four chart-grounded answers.

Every answer opens with a placement, names what classical text reads into it, suggests one concrete action, then closes by answering the literal question.

Career

Should I take the new offer or stay where I am?

Your 10th lord Mars sits in the 11th, the house of gains, in your D10 chart. Phaladeepika reads this as work that pays better when you stay long enough for the network to mature. You are eight months into a Jupiter Antardasha that strengthens the same 11th house. Staying is the chart's reading, unless the new offer puts you closer to a person you already trust. Stay if the role is similar. Move only if the new manager is one you would follow into a worse role.

Relationships

Why does this relationship feel stuck even when nothing is wrong?

Your 7th lord Venus is in the 12th house and your Navamsa Moon is in Scorpio. BPHS reads this as a partnership where the real conversation happens in private and the public version stays quiet. Nothing is wrong. The relationship simply needs a long unstructured evening every week, no agenda, no resolution pressure. Try one this Sunday. The stuckness lifts when the slow time is on the calendar, not when the conversation gets sharper.

Health

I keep getting tired by 4 pm. Is something in my chart causing this?

Your 6th lord is Saturn and Saturn is currently transiting your ascendant. Classical Vaidya tradition reads this as a Vata-dominant fatigue window, not weakness. One thing to try for two weeks: eat your largest meal at noon and stop screen-work for fifteen minutes after it. The 4 pm slump usually breaks. If it does not, see a doctor. Astrology can name the pattern, only a physician can rule out anaemia or thyroid.

Spiritual

What does my chart say about the practice I should keep?

Jupiter sits in your 9th house in Sagittarius, vargottama in D9. Brihat Parashara reads this as a chart that already has a built-in teacher. The practice that holds for you is the one with a named lineage and a fixed daily slot, not a buffet of apps. Pick one mantra or one chapter of one text. Read it at the same hour every day for forty days. Your chart rewards the steady repetition, not the variety.

The citation base

Every answer cites a text. Not a vibe.

Acharya is grounded in four classical Sanskrit treatises. When the chart reads a particular way, the answer names the placement and the source.

Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra

The root text. Houses, planets, dashas, divisional charts. Sage Parashara, c. compiled in late antiquity.

Phaladeepika

Mantreshwara's manual on predicting outcomes. The grammar for reading planet-house combinations.

Saravali

Kalyana Varma's treatise on planetary results. A cross-check for nativity readings.

Jaimini Sutra

The Jaimini system of Chara dashas and Karakas. Used in Vidhata where it sharpens a Parashari read.

Should I change jobs this year, or wait until 2027?

AcharyaVedic

Reading your 10th lord Jupiter in Pisces, currently in Saturn antardasha of Mercury mahadasha.

Wait until after October 2026. You are in Mercury Saturn antardasha right now, and Saturn rules your 8th house of sudden change. Moves made under this combination tend to drag through paperwork, notice periods, and offer renegotiations. The energy is not against you. It is slow.

From late October, Jupiter transits into your 10th house from Moon and your career significator begins a fresh cycle. That is the right window to interview, negotiate, and sign. If a senior recruiter approaches you before then, take the call but hold the decision.

So the answer to your question is wait, not refuse. The job change wants to happen after October 2026.

Graha · Saturn

§3.6

Saturn: discipline, time, authority

Sign LibraHs. 5thDeg. 09°47'Nak. VishakhaExalted

Saturn in Libra sits at its exaltation. The classical authors record this as a placement of just-weight. The graha that measures and assigns consequence finds its scale here. Decisions are deliberate. Authority is earned slowly and held without need to display it.

The 5th is Putra, the house of children and creativity and purva-punya. Saturn here is a famously complicated tenant. When dignified, it produces the strategist, the long-horizon mind that plans ten moves ahead and never gambles. Matters of romance and children arrive late, or arrive after a delay.

What to watch

The exalted Saturn temptation is to over-arbitrate. Not every quarrel in the room is yours to weigh.

Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Ch.36 (Shani-phala). Saravali Ch.32.

FAQ

Things people ask before signing up.

Is my birth data private?

Yes. Stored in Supabase with row-level security so only you can read your own row. We never sell it, never share it with third parties, never use it to train models. Delete your account from Settings; full data purge on request.

Why Lahiri ayanamsa? Why not Krishnamurti or Raman?

Lahiri is the official Indian government convention and matches most published almanacs. We can add KP-Newcomb (the KP module's correct ayanamsa) in a future release. Raman is unsupported for now.

Is the AI just ChatGPT with extra prompts?

The AI (Acharya) runs on whichever provider you've configured: Anthropic Claude, Groq Llama-3, OpenAI, or Gemini. The system prompt grounds it in BPHS, Phaladeepika, Saravali and Jaimini Sutra and forces it to cite YOUR chart facts. It can't make things up - every claim is anchored to a planet position or dasha period.

Why isn't there a 'talk to a real astrologer' button?

We don't run an astrologer marketplace. Apps that do (AstroTalk, AstroChat) charge ₹20 to ₹99 per minute for human attention. Vidhata's bet: classical-grade computation plus AI grounded in classical sources gets you most of what a good astrologer would say, free, in 9 Indian languages. If you want a paid human consultation, find a local pandit you trust.

What languages are supported?

Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Odia plus English - 9 Indian languages end to end, with English alongside. Marketing site, mobile app, web app screens, and Acharya AI answers all respect your chosen locale. Switch in Settings → Language.

Can I add my family members' charts?

Yes - Family vault. Save unlimited charts for spouse, parents, kids, friends. Switch between them with one tap. Each chart unlocks the same Vimshottari, Yogas, Transits, KP, Lal Kitab, Numerology screens for that person. Compatibility (Match) lets you score any two of your saved charts.

Does it work without internet?

Once your chart is computed, the app caches it and most screens (Chart, Panchang, Muhurat, KP, Lal Kitab, Numerology, Varshaphala) work offline because the math runs locally on your device. AI Q&A and the daily horoscope need a connection.

Will you launch live consultations later?

Maybe. Only after demand justifies it AND we can vet astrologers properly (most marketplaces don't). For now, we focus on what software does best: precise computation + grounded AI. Consultations are something humans should do.

Ready to see your actual chart?

Three minutes. Your birth date, time and place. We'll do the math and cite the classics.
