Vidhata is a free Vedic astrology tool with an AI advisor (Acharya). These terms cover how you use the app, what we promise, and what we cannot promise. Written in clear English so a real person can read it without a lawyer.

The short version

  • Vidhata is a tool for personal reflection on Vedic astrology. Not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
  • AI Acharya answers are computed from your chart, not psychic predictions. Use your judgment.
  • You own your birth data and chart history. We do not sell it. You can delete it any time.
  • Free to use the basics. If we add a paid tier, we will be clear about what is free vs. paid.
  • Be respectful in support emails and Acharya queries. Spam, abuse, or misuse leads to suspension.
  • We can change these terms with 30 days notice for material changes; non-material updates are noted at the bottom of this page.
  • Indian law applies (jurisdiction: courts at the place of registration). EU users get GDPR rights anyway.

What Vidhata is

Vidhata is a free Vedic astrology computation tool. It calculates your sidereal birth chart with Lahiri ayanamsa, your dasha periods, daily Panchang, transits, and lets you ask Acharya (an AI advisor) questions grounded in classical sources like BPHS, Phaladeepika, Saravali and Jaimini Sutra. It is a tool for self-reflection. It is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

Who can use it

Anyone aged 13 or older. If you are under 18, we recommend asking a parent or guardian before signing up. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you think a child has signed up, write to support@vidhata.app and we will delete the account.

Free vs. paid

Today, the core features (your chart, dasha, daily horoscope, AI Acharya with rate limits, panchang, family vault) are free. We may add a paid tier later for advanced features. If we do, we will be upfront about pricing and what changes for free users. We will not silently move existing free features behind a paywall.

Your account

Sign-up is email-only. No phone numbers, no SMS spam, ever. Your chart history stays in your account so you can come back to it across devices. You can delete your account, your chart history, or your AI Acharya transcripts from Settings with one tap. Hard delete completes within 30 days.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the service. Do not scrape the site or the API. Do not impersonate others. Do not try to break our rate limits or run automated bots against AI Acharya. Do not use Vidhata to harass other people. If we see misuse, we will suspend the account, and in serious cases we will delete it.

Astrology disclaimer

Astrology is for reflection, not prophecy. The math behind your chart is deterministic, but interpretation is human, fallible, and personal. AI Acharya is grounded in your chart positions and classical texts; it is not psychic and it is not a licensed professional. Vidhata does not give medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. If you are going through something serious (a health concern, a legal matter, a money decision, a mental-health crisis), please talk to a qualified professional. Use astrology as a thinking aid, not as a substitute for real help.

Intellectual property

The Vidhata app, its source code, design, copy, and the charts it generates are the property of the Vidhata team. You may use them for your personal, non-commercial reflection. You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to your birth data so we can compute your chart and show it back to you. We never sell or share your birth data with third parties for marketing.

Limitations of liability

Vidhata is provided as-is. The free service comes without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. You remain responsible for your own life decisions. Use the app as one input among many, not as the sole basis for any choice that matters.

Termination

You can delete your account any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that show signs of abuse, fraud, or attempted reverse engineering. On termination by either side, we hard-delete your data within 30 days. Some logs (security audit trail) may persist for up to 90 days as required for fraud investigation, then they go too.

Changes to these terms

If we change anything material (a new vendor handling your data, a new fee, a change to data retention, a change to AI Acharya behaviour), we will give you 30 days notice by email and a banner on the site. Minor updates (typo fixes, clarifications, contact-info edits) are noted with a refreshed last-updated date at the top of this page. Continued use after the notice period means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts at our registered place of business. If you are based in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep your statutory consumer rights regardless of this clause. Nothing here removes a right you cannot waive under your local law.
