Your data

Delete your account

You can delete your Vidhata account and everything stored with it at any time. You do not have to ask us, and you do not have to give a reason.

Deletion happens straight away. There is no waiting period and no recovery window, so once it is done your chart and your questions cannot be brought back.

  1. Option 1

From inside the app or the website

Open Settings, scroll to the bottom, and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm once.

On the website the same control is at vidhata.app/app/settings. You need to be signed in, because this is the fastest way for us to be certain the request is really yours.

  2. Option 2

If you have already uninstalled the app

Write to contact@vidhata.app from the email address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm when it is done.

We ask you to write from that address because it is the only way to tell your request apart from somebody else asking us to delete your chart.

Deleting some of your data, without closing your account

You do not have to delete everything to remove something.

One honest limitation: there is no button today that removes a single question and its answer from your history. If you want those gone, ask us by email and we will do it for you.

What is deleted

Your account and everything attached to it, in one go: your birth date, time and place, every chart computed from them, every question you asked the Acharya and every answer you were given, your saved family charts, your daily readings and forecasts, your notification settings and device registrations, your streaks and practice history, your reports, and your referral code.

What we keep, and why

Two things survive, and we would rather tell you than let you find out.

We keep a record that an account was deleted, with the date. It does not contain your birth details or your questions. We keep it so we can answer a later legal or abuse enquiry honestly.

If you ever sent us product feedback, the feedback text stays but is detached from you, so it is no longer linked to any account.

More detail about what we store and where it lives is in our privacy policy. If anything here is unclear, write to contact@vidhata.app and a person will answer.
